Now that you are proficient in capturing your dog's behaviors, this 6 week course will take those
manners on the road. Practice in public places like the park and PetsMart are part of the curriculum.
In this course your dog will learn to always sit when greeting people, and navigate around obstacles like crowds, wheelchairs, and walkers. He will be calm around children and confident and safe with strange dogs. He will act mannerly in public places as well as at home.
Week 6 there will be a short test for you and your canine friend. When this test is passed, you can apply for the Canine Good Citizen certificate from AKC. This certificate is for all dogs, purebred or mix. When you pass this test, you can participate in PAWS Love on a Leash program and in public relations events for Pawsitive & PAWS. Even if you are not interested in public appearances, you and your canine friend will still benefit from this course.
